MobileVideoNet had been invited to participate and joined forces with urban poet Laser 3.14. During this event, text based works by Laser where broadcasted to mobile phones from a Bluetooth Guerrilla Van. This creation by MobileVideoNet and Kees de Groot (founder of PlanetArt) was present at the opening and exhibition and also cruisied the streets of Amsterdam.

JONESY WAS A CAT WHO WORE STRANGE COLOURS

I see how you pose in slow motion
A click
A flicker
I’ve trapped you poise in a moment of time
You won’t get withered over the passing of time
You won’t grow weak and old
As time unfolds

You move as sturdy as sturdy can be
You lift your top up gently
I can see far into your eyes
Deep trenched, blue
a dash of blight

Beau van Erven Dorens's "PIJN"

I found out something very weird today. Beau van Erven Dorens wrote me as a fictional character in his novel "PIJN" Believe me, reading about a fictional character with the same name as you is one hell of a weird experience.

Check the scans out. Click on them to enlarge. Sorry they're in Dutch:

" Is this seat taken?" opening; Sunday 7th December

Hello friends,

I'm writing to let you all know about the Zaishu Amsterdam exhibition opening this Sunday, which we have been working hard on for the last few months. Zaishu is an Australian-designed award-winning slot together seat/table. The project " Is this seat taken?" sees the furniture being used as a canvas by a diverse selection of international artists.

Painting, stencils, collage, tattoo designs, burning, silkscreen and tyre prints are a just few of the techniques used in the Zaishu Amsterdam project.
Twenty new limited edition Zaishu chairs, each standing as an unparalleled collectable artwork that also functions as furniture, will be exhibited and sold at furniture design store and artspace, Wilhelmina Winkel. This is a rare opportunity to see some of Amsterdam's progressive talents express themselves individually and collectively and for visitors to purchase a never to be repeated piece of collaborative art.

For more info check out: www.zaishu.nl and www.zaishu.com

Opening; Sunday 7th December, 4pm
Wilhelmina Winkel, Amsterdam
Exhibition runs 7th December - 31st January

I hope you can make it along!

Cheers,

Jennette

THE RACE TO THE END OF THE WORLD

Sore feet
Sideways
Crutches
Pain in my arms and heals
I endure
Support
Water
I demure
My sore knees

Honour
Medals
Champagne and girls
I’m unbridled
Focused
Arms swing
Must win
the race to the end of the world

I am
Man
Forever uncurled
I run and run
Must win
The race to the end of the world

THE CLOAK AND THE DAGGER

The dagger executes its task perfectly
Man do we need a new plan
Sounds bouncing off my helix
I’m trapped inside the hyperbole
of numerous existences

Trapped inside a parallax view
beyond the trappings of time

Her heart pillaged
the children of love inoculated
Love can be a dagger without rules

A hobo who’s really a rich man
At home he owns lots of stock
False prayers, a cloak and an old clock
Chiming at the same time
The begging bowl
s honour without owning a dime

“Saddle up boy,
this grass’s for sale
We’ll throw in a fence for free
If you own none”

Don’t you cry
poor inoculated child
this dagger pierces everyone
