DREAMS OF FLESH

And I watched the ocean of coalesced flesh

The flesh ocean stretched out to the horizon

Mouths, torsos, arms and legs fused together

A million eyes staring at me

All colours and creeds

 

As the waves of carnal meat comes sliding in

Fingers try to touch my toes

I step back

I can’t see where one body ends

and the other begins

 

A million voices screaming

“We’ve turned our bodies over willingly

join us or retreat”

My emotions placid yet in doubt

Do I head back

or converge with all this luscious meat?
